About

Welcome to EAA Chapter 40

EAA Chapter 40 represents the San Fernando Valley area of Southern California, and includes the Van Nuys (KVNY), Burbank (KBUR) and Whiteman (KWHP) airports. If you have a love of aviation and a desire to meet others with that same passion, consider joining our group. You’ll find a wealth of experience in our members, and a willingness to help others. You don’t have to own an airplane. You don’t have to be building one. You don’t even have to be a pilot.

Our current President is Charlie. Use his name to register in the forum area.

Chapter Meetings

You don’t have to be a member to come to one of our Chapter meetings; everyone is invited! Stop by and see what our organization has to offer. Chapter 40’s regular meetings are usually held at Whiteman Airport on the third Saturday of each month, at Rocky’s restaurant. You can order breakfast and enjoy your meal during the meeting. Please check the meeting page for details.

Young Eagles

The Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 by EAA the Experimental Aircraft Association, based in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide a meaningful flight experience – free of charge – in a general aviation aircraft for young people between the ages of 8 and 17. Please see the Young Eagles page for more information.

Newsletter

The most recent issue of our chapter newsletter is available on our newsletter page. Past newsletters are available as well, just in case you missed an issue.
